When you use the "/t" or "/T" switch to display a prompt for text entry, you can follow it by any number of textual command line parameters to present screen information indicating the nature of the text that is to be entered. The prompt box switch must be the first command line parameter. The following command line parameters follow the same rules as for displaying a menu.

By default, the only difference between displaying a selection menu and a text prompt is that in the latter case the cursor is not moved to the beginning of the last line, but remains on the same line, immediately following the last text string written to the screen. This means that by including a space or spaces at the end of the last textual command line parameter, you can display a prompt with the cursor immediately following it to begin text entry. Alternatively, if you want the text entry to start on a line underneath the prompt, use a final command line parameter consisting of just plus signs to take the cursor down. You could also include less than or greater than signs in the final command line parameter to indent the text entry.

Note that when entering text in command line parameters for display with a text prompt, the use of the colon at the beginning of the parameter is unnecessary, since hotkeys are not involved and there is no need to prevent one being attached to a given piece of text. Beginning a command line parameter with a colon, however, has the same effect, it causes screen writing to commence at the next character, so if you do require a colon as the first character on a line, place an additional colon at the start of the new command line parameter.
