Blank lines on the screen could be produced by providing empty command line parameters, "", but an easier way is to put a plus sign ("+") at the beginning of the parameter before which you require one or more blank lines. Note that when wtreqinfo displays command line information, a new line is generated before the display of the current parameter, not after it. It is this strategy that enables the cursor to remain on the bottom line when screen writing is complete.
Unless you suppress new lines by placing a minus sign (hyphen) at the beginning of a command line parameter, the screen cursor will be moved down to the beginning of the next line before it is written. A series of plus signs at the beginning of the item generates a series of additional new lines, one for each plus. The plus signs themselves are not included when the remainder of the item is displayed.
One use of this feature is to control the cursor position when the menu is displayed. By default, the cursor is moved to the beginning of the last line written to the screen. You can include a final command line parameter consisting of just one or more plus signs to cause the cursor to move down to a blank line, one or more lines below the menu.
