Quite often, once the connection speed settings have been established, WTC will work reliably with Typetalk and similar telecommunications connections like the QWERTY 'phone.
However, there is a whole host of modem settings that can vary in use from modem to modem and some settings that are irrelevant for one modem may need fine tuning for another. If you cannot get the system working after setting the connection speed, further consultation with the modem manual will be necessary to try to find the source of the problem. In such a situation, contacting the modem's manufacturers or technical support service with a description of the situation you are trying to establish may be the most productive approach, as they should have an idea of which settings or commands are relevant.
