Following the focus/PacMate setting is a string of Braille keyboard configurations, all beginning with the letter "b" and ending in a semicolon, which set up a perkins-style Braille keyboard set of keys on the computer keyboard.

The first setting is enabled and positions the Braille keyboard on the letters "FDSJKL" corresponding to dots "123456", the standard default position for a Braille keyboard implementation.

The remaining Braille keyboard configurations are inactive, indicated by the minus sign preceding the letter "b". Any one can be activated by removing the minus sign. The keyboard configuration actually installed if several options are enabled corresponds to the last active option, reading from left to right. By default, the first option is installed, because all subsequent options are disabled. If you do not want a Braille keyboard configuration, but just the standard QWERTY keyboard, deactivate the first keyboard configuration in the key by inserting a minus sign before it.

The keyboard configurations following the first one install the Braille input keyboard on the bottom row, 3rd row up, and the row of number keys, respectively, with 2 special configurations also provided, described in the documentation on Braille text input.

All Braille input configurations in this list are "local", they only apply when WTC is the active application. If you switch away from WTC or the program loses the focus for whatever reason, The Braille input keyboard ceases to be active and standard keyboard input is in effect. WTC uses the Braille keyboard again when it regains the focus.
