The Braille support file is a registry utility shipped with WTC to make it easy to set up a few common Braille options.
You can find this utility called "brl_support_on.reg" in the "Utils" folder under "Utilities", in the WintextCom program group created under "Programs" on the start menu during installation. Executing this utility enables Braille support. There is a corresponding option called "brl_support_off", which removes the Braille support key from the registry.
The Braille support file performs Braille setup in 3 categories:
To edit the Braille support file, right click it in the program group and select the edit option. You can then edit the "brl_support" key value. Once this is done, close the editor and save changes, then run the file to install the setup in the registry. Running the file will replace any existing settings that were installed prior to the contents of the file being changed.
The following sections explain the settings in the shipped Braille support file. For a complete discussion of the options available for Braille input and autonomous Braille output, refer to the documentation on Braille text input and Braille display drivers, respectively.
