E-mail templates allow you to predefine the message text and/or subject on a recipient basis, as well as add an attachment. This is accomplished by specifying the signature operation with a colon at the end of the e-mail address in its WintextCom directory entry, followed by the signature operation character, as discussed in the section on the e-mail signature, followed by further formatting information. You can also specify whether a message is displayed for you to edit it, or automatically sent without prompting, a feature that enables you to set up directory entries to send preformatted e-mails at the touch of a key or button.

These capabilities are described in the subsections under this heading. As noted earlier, not all features are necessarily supported by your e-mail client, and the exact form of the implementation may show variations in behaviour where it is supported.
