To have WintextCom fill in the text of the subject line when you select a directory entry to send a new e-mail message:

  1. If you do not require a signature to be appended, simply add the required subject text after the signature off specification. That is, the subject text is appended to the e-mail address separated by ":!".
  2. If you require to append the signature or to choose whether or not to append it each time you select the entry, follow the signature specification by an oblique stroke ("/"), then the required subject text. That is, to predefine the subject and append the signature, the text is separated from the e-mail address by "+/", or to be prompted to confirm whether or not to use the signature, the subject text is separated by ":/".

You can include spaces in the subject line without quoting it. If the subject includes spaces, you should not enclose it in quotes unless you require the quotes to be part of the subject itself. You can include  required quotes anywhere within the subject text.

The subject line is filed in with the specified text when you invoke a new message by selecting a directory e-mail entry that has subject formatting, but unless the message is being sent without allowing you to modify it, you can still change the subject line during message editing before you actually send it. To edit the subject, move the insertion cursor to the subject box as you normally would when composing a new message in your e-mail program.
