You can create a single line menu or join command line items together for any other reason by beginning them with a hyphen ("-"). Note that when wtreqinfo displays command line information, a new line is generated before the display of the current parameter, not after it. It is this strategy that enables the cursor to remain on the bottom line when screen writing is complete.
A hyphen at the beginning of a command line parameter prevents the cursor being moved to the beginning of the next line before the text is written to the screen. The hyphen itself is not printed. This allows the text of the current item to follow straight on from the text of the previous, on the same line. If you require an intervening space, it must be included at the end of the previous parameter, or at the beginning of the current.
Suppressing the new line before the start of the first display item prevents the program banner from being shown.
