Setup has created a program group called "WintextCom" under Programs on your Windows start menu. For versions of the Windows Operating System that provide both a common (all users) and a user start menu, the group is created on the all users menu unless the user installing the software does not have administrative privileges. In general, therefore, the group will be found on the all users start menu for single user systems, but on computers set up with more than one user, only the administrator will have the all users group, other users will have their own WintextCom program group, which is also distinct from the administrator's group, so that customisations made to the group will not affect other users.
This group contains icons for the following:
- The main program, WintextCom, displays rocket software logo. It runs the program in Communications Mode with full access to the modem's operating system or the features of any other connected serial device; it is intended for use if in-depth modem setup or similar interactions are required.
