As well as enabling you to immediately use your address book e-mail recipients without copying the addresses into WintextCom, address book shortcuts have two other main uses.

Firstly, they enable you to set up simple directory shortcuts to lists of recipients. Secondly, by including a space between the name and the at sign at the end, the list is automatically blind copied.

This second capability is particularly useful if you frequently need to send out e-mails to long lists of recipients but do not require each recipient to see the list. A blind copy shortcut in WintextCom to the list in your address book is much quicker to use than displaying the address book itself to find the list and place it in the blind copy field.

All the earlier template descriptions of using different signature settings and files and automating the subject line apply to address book shortcuts, including lists and blind copies. Just place the colon after the at sign.
