The System Explorer utility provides detailed information about programs running on your computer. It is an advanced utility made available in WintextCom, which facilitates access to low-level system information of potential interest to:

 

System Explorer is implemented through two global hotkeys. These key combination are available whenever WintextCom is runni9ng, in the foreground or background, you can invoke System Explorer at any time while working in any application. Shift+WindowsKey+F11 runs System Explorer with its current settings, which by default displays a system snapshot. Control+Alt+WindowsKey+F11 brings up an input box to enable you to customise the settings or restore the default.

 

System Explorer presents the information in a read-only edit window. You can freely move the insertion cursor around in this window and select information to copy to the clipboard for pasting into another application, or you can press Control+A,Control+C to copy it all. This enables you to take a copy of the output, or portions of it, for future analysis or any other purpose. It is also possible to have System Explorer write the output directly to a disk file or place it on the Windows clipboard.

 

The following sections discuss the operation of System Explorer in more detail and describe the information presented. A discussion of the meaning of the information, however, is beyond the scope of this documentation and of S.W.H.-Wintextware technical support. System Explorer is made available in WintextCom so that developers and support personnel with appropriate expertise and background can easily obtain this information. Interested users are referred to documentation on Windows programming and material pertinent to system analysis.
