Pressing Control+Alt+WindowsKey+F11 enables you to enter a configuration string to modify the information presented in a system snapshot. More information about the configuration options available for System Explorer can be found in the sections on window information and MSAA objects.

For a system snapshot, you must include letter 's' in the configuration string. 's' alone is the default setting. It displays a list of only hidden top level windows. The following additional letters modify the output:

Note that visible and Parented windows are excluded by default and are included if their respective options are specified, while hidden and owned windows are included by default and excluded if the respective options are specified.

You can also include recursion with a system listing. For example, the configuration string "svc+wvc" would present a complete listing of all desktop windows, and recurse into each window to include its children. This is a lot of data, if you are interested in the structure of a hidden application, it is probably better to obtain it on its own as described under Application Listings.
