The status line runs across the bottom edge of the WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm) main window and displays useful information keeping the user informed about important aspects of the program's state at any time.

The actual information displayed on the status line depends on the current operation mode and is fully explained in the relevant sections of this documentation. Basically, when using Communications Mode, the status line shows information including th line status and number of characters in the current communications file. In the directory, the status line includes information about the number of entries and paragraphs in the current directory list and the automatic dial settings.

The Launchpad File Manager has its own status line, giving information about the number of files in the currently open folder and presenting the current date and time.
