The main window of WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm) is divided vertically into 3 parts, starting below the application title and menu bar that typically run across the top of the Windows screen: the toolbar in its default position at the top, then the communications window, which is itself divided vertically into 3 components, then the status line across the bottom.
When open, the directory is displayed over the visual display window part of the communications window.
The directory and communications windows change the main menu bar to display the directory and communications menus when activated, respectively, presenting functionality specific to the active environment.
The Launchpad File Manager application opens at the top of the main window, with its own title bar (displaying the path of the currently open folder) and main menu.
