You can specify a proffered document reading program with the "w" setup directive.
In the setup file or on the command line, specify "w+" followed by the full path to the program that you want to use. You can also specify the program associated with a file type by specifying the file extension instead of the path, including the period. For example:
To specify the Windows Notepad program explicitly,
"w+c:\window\notepad.exe" (or whatever your Windows directory is);
to specify your text file reader,
"w+.txt".
The quotes should not be included as above, unless the specification includes spaces, in which case the opening quote should be place immediately after "w".
The plus sign is a status indicator, and is the default setting. With this setup, the Document Reader is used only when its particular commands are invoked. If a colon is used instead of plus, the Document Reader replaces the alternative loader in File Manager, which by itself makes the alternative loader inaccessible. Wholesale use of the Document Reader might be appropriate for some users, but if you also specify a colon with the "r" directive to set the alternative loader, the alternative loader and Document Reader commands are swapped over in File Manager, which is also a useful option in some situations.
