The associated workspace folder is a folder on your computer that is associated with a library document, or a document stored elsewhere that you are reading with the WintextCom Reader.

By default, the workspace folder associated with all WintextCom Reader documents is the WintextCom workspace base folder itself. This means that pressing Alt+K while reading a document has the same effect as it does at any other time - it opens the workspace in File Manager. You can define a separate folder to be the default association with a new document, and you can associate a specific subfolder under that base association to be used with respect to individual documents.

The base association is a global property and is set up in WintextCom settings. By default, it is the regular WintextCom workspace, but if you use this space for other purposes, you might like to separate documents and folders that are associated with reading document projects. Use the "%K" (note uppercase) setup directive to specify the workspace folder, and if you want to use a separate folder as the base association with reader documents, specify it after the workspace folder, separated by an oblique stroke ("/"). For example, the default setting is

"%Kwork",

which means that the workspace folder is a subfolder called "work" under your WintextCom home folder. To specify that reading projects use a subfolder of this space called "__library", install the following in the settings file or on the command lie:

"%Kwork/__library".

If the base association does not include a full path, it is relative to the workspace folder, but you can specify a completely different structure by including drive and path information. Do not enter the quotes; if either the workspace folder or the base association include spaces, enclose everything in quotes starting after "%K".

The base association is created, if necessary, whenever it is needed, you do not have to manually created the folder.

The base association can be accessed in Windows Explorer by pressing Control+Alt+K while reading a document, or in File Manager by pressing just Alt+K, unless the document has its own folder associated.
