By default, when a Braille input configuration is enabled, the rest of the main keyboard is inactive apart from the exceptions noted earlier in this chapter. You can enable the main keyboard with the "K" option in the Braille keyboard setup string. Separate the "K" and any other options from the Braille dot definitions by a comma.

 

When the main keyboard is enabled at the same time as a Braille input key set, it is possible to use the same keyboard unit for both Braille text entry and standard typing. To be practical, the Braille dots must not encroach upon the standard typing keys. There are two possibilities:
