Replying to a Text

The procedure described below can be used to reply to a text message when you have read it, before you delete the messages. It may be found simpler to just originate a new message from the directory. Replying to a text will be better supported in a future version of the software.

 

To set up a reply to a text after you have read it:

  1. Read back to find the sender's number.
  2. Make sure the number, or the plus sign if one is prefixed, is at the beginning of the Braille display. You can do this by holding the Control key down and left clicking anywhere in the number. Perform a left click by pressing a cursor routing key on your Braille display corresponding to a character in the number.
  3. Press F9 or Control+WindowsKey+ENTER.
  4. The send text box comes up and you can type your reply. Press Control+ENTER or Alt+S to send it.

 

When the message has been sent, you are returned to the texts you are reading.
