The Text Answerphone

The text answerphone is an extension of the automatic answer setting, mentioned in the previous section on Manually Answering, that additionally sends a message to the caller informing them that you are unavailable to take the call and inviting them to type in a message. When they hang up, WTC is ready to answer another incoming call and take another message.

 

The information that the answerphone gives to the caller is based upon your username, as provided during the software installation:

 

"[username] is not available to take your cal. Please leave a message on this answerphone by typing it in."

 

It is possible to customise this message to your own preferences if required, please see the documentation on configuration and customisation.
