You can send information from a file or document by copying it to the Windows clipboard, then invoking a WTC option to send the information that is on the clipboard over the 'phone.
Exactly how you get the information onto the clipboard for WTC to send depends on where it is stored and how the program associated with that information operates. Typically, it would be in a document that you access with Microsoft Word or another word processor or editor, and you can press the key sequence Control+A,Control+C in that document to copy the entire contents to the clipboard, or use "Select all" then "Copy" on the associated program's edit menu (not WTC's edit menu). At any time in WTC, you can press Control+W to open your word processor, or Control+Shift+N to open the Notepad editor; see the tools menu for other commands that might be useful for getting to the information you want to give out. You can also "select" just certain text that you need to send instead of the whole document, using the Shift key with the cursor keys, then copy it to the clipboard with Control+C or the edit menu "Copy" option.
When you are in a 'phonecall, you can switch away from WTC to another program in order to put information on the clipboard, or you could do so before connecting if preferred. WTC will hold the line while you go into another program during a call, the call will not be dropped. Note that if you have document shortcuts in your directory, as described in the Launchpad section of this user manual, you can use them to access information that you want to send out, but you must press Control+ENTER to open the document, not just ENTER as that would send the shortcut information on the directory line over the 'phone.
When you have information on the clipboard ready to send, make sure you are back in WTC and press Control+Alt+V to send it out to the person at the other en of the telephone line. The progress window opens to confirm sending and closes again when all the information has been sent, as per sending directory information.
Instead of pressing Control+Alt+V, you can select the
"C: Dial or send from clipboard"
option on the directory menu (Alt+D,C). In this case, the clipboard contents will be sent out as above, as you are online. The menu option shows the number of characters present on the clipboard for sending.
This option can be used to dial a telephone number stored on the clipboard when you are not already in a 'phonecall.
