Uninstalling WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm)

The WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm) Installation Wizard allows for the uninstallation of the software by placing an uninstall icon in Windows Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs.

 

The software is listed for change/remove as WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm), followed by the version number, and bears an icon similar to the rocket software logo on the desktop. If the currently installed version is an evaluation, this is indicated in the uninstall item. The name of the uninstall item is updated as subsequent versions of WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm) are installed.

 

To uninstall the software, removing WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm) and all references to it from your computer:

  1. Select the WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm) item in the change/remove list in Windows Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs.
  2. Click the Remove button, or Tab to it and press ENTER.
  3. Click the Yes button or press letter "y" to respond to the message box asking you to confirm your intention to uninstall WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm). If you click the No button or press letter "n", you are returned to Control Panel without anything being done to the WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm) installation.
  4. Another message box appears confirming that WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm) has been successfully removed from your computer, press Escape to close the message box and exit Control Panel.

 

Uninstalling then reinstalling the software will not reset the evaluation period.

 

Note that uninstalling WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm) does not delete your data, any files you have been using as directories, document templates or for setup purposes, etc. are not removed as they were not part of the original installation. Only files that the Installation Wizard itself placed on your computer disk during installation are deleted. WintextCom Personal Information Manager(tm) creates your directory, not the <% INSTALLERM%>, so you do not lose the information even if you did not back it up.
