The commands below are active in the communications window for capturing text to the directory or capture file. In addition, users working in the editing window can copy and paste information as per a standard editor. The options on the editing window context (application) menu are the standard Windows editing options.
- Store Braille display item to directory: Left click any character other than a space on Braille line. Braille users can press cursor routing button corresponding to character. An item is a correctly formatted telephone number, e-mail address or web page
- Store a Braille line length to directory: Left click a space on Braille line to save the following text up to a formatted display length. Braille users can press cursor routing button corresponding to space. Use Store line option on Text menu to store whole current display
- Mark cursor position in editing window: Control+M
- Go to editing window marker (cycles through multiple markers): Control+G
- Mark Braille line position: Alt+M. Defines start of capture block
- Save capture block or communications file to disk: Control+S. Saves whole communications file if no block is marked, or saves from block marker (Alt+M, marker then cleared) to current display position or end of file if Braille cursor on display. Text appended if capture file already exists
- Open capture file in Windows Notepad editor: Control+ENTER
