The product described in this documentation is the WintextWare Command Line Scripter, a small command line utility that enables you to perform file and system operations with WintextCom directory shortcuts.

With the WintextWare Command Line Scripter, you can create WintextCom directory shortcut entries that:

You can debug the command line to make sure the parameters are being passed as you intend.

Although  the WintextWare Command Line Scripter allows you to access files and programs, there is not much point using this capability from within WintextCom, since the WintextCom directory already provides it.

WintextWare Command Line Scripter adds some very useful possibilities to the WintextCom directory. For example, suppose you are working on a document and regularly need to make a copy on a floppy diskette or USB pen drive for someone else to view the progress of your work; you can not only access the document from the WintextCom directory, but have an adjacent shortcut that performs the copying, which saves a lot of time finding and manually copying the file.

To reference the WintextWare Command Line Scripter in the information field of a WintextCom directory entry, specify ".exe" as the program. This will translate to "wtscript.exe" with the program install path prefixed.

The WintextWare Command Line Scripter is simply a command line utility. It can be used i batch files and by any other script language or program that can launch a program using its command line.
